Her pain improved with is operation and she has been able to return to her regular activities.

This patient had chronic ankle pain due to a nerve compression of the superficial peroneal nerve that was "pinched" in the lower leg. This lead to pain and numbness to the out side of her ankle and the top of the foot. A simple ankle sprain can cause this problem in some patients. This nerve was decompressed through a small incision. Her pain improved with is operation and she has been able to return to her regular activities.
