This patient regained strength and use of their foot within 2 months post nerve decompression of the common perineal nerve surgery for foot drop syndrome.
The side of the knee was pinched, and an EMG nerve conductdion study demonstrated the nerve was decompressed & abonormal, causing weakness with difficulty in dorsal flection.
80-90% range of motion was regained post surgery. The patient demonstrates strength and improvement in ankel strength within 10 days. Patient is extremely happy to overcome pain and weakness.
