This patient is now 3 months from bilateral decompressions of the greater and lesser occipital nerves, which innervate the back of the head. The patient suffered from an occipital neuralgia that was trauma induced. As a result she experienced migraines on a daily basis, leaving her in excruciating pain that radiated from the back of her head to behind her eyes. After our procedure she reports that she is 85-90% better and has gone back to her everyday activities, being able to focus and accomplish more and more everyday.
If you or a person you know suffer from similar pain, Dr. Eric H. Williams would be happy to discuss this with you at the Dellon Institute for Peripheral Nerve Surgery in Baltimore, Maryland at 410-337-5400.
