This patient has had several operations on her right leg for severe nerve pain. Her latest operation was a decompression of the tarsal tunnel, medial plantar, lateral plantar, and calcaneal nerve for tarsal tunnel syndrome. She also had a decompression of the common peroneal nerve and a partial resection of the superficial peroneal nerve at a previous procedure to help her with pain from the outside of her knee to the top of her foot. She reports 80% improvement in her foot pain. Prior to her procedures she was hardly able to wear shoes and socks. She now has no difficulty with touching the top or bottom of her foot. She has no difficulty with walking, and her function is substantially improved, and we are both very pleased with her results. She has been able to decrease her pain medication substantially.
