This patient had a decompression of her right occipital nerve in the back of the head above her neck at the base of the skull as an outpatient procedure for chronic continuous head ache pain. The procedure was done over 3 years ago. Her headaches have remained cured since that time. The headaches began after a serious motor vehicle accident resulting in a whiplash injury and a blow to the back of the head.
