Patient is 3.5 months from denervation of the right groin by removing the ilioinguinal, iliohypogastric, and genitofemoral nerve. This patient had an inguinal hernia repair and unfortunately has terrible groin and testicular pain following the otherwise successful repair. Wearing clothing was painful and intimacy with his wife nearly impossible. He is now much happier, with near complete resolution of his groin and testicular pain. Removing these nerves does not affect sexual function -- unless it makes it better because his pain is gone.
