This patient is now 2 months from carpal tunnel release with removal of the palmar cutaneous branch of the medial nerve. The patient had severe pain in the palm, fingers, and hand after prior surgery a year earlier to remove a cyst. She has had an excellent response to our procedure and reported 70% relief of pain. She can easily now stroke the skin on the palm of the hand that used to be so uncomfortable, her previous scar is no longer painful, and the sensation has returned to her finger tips. We are both pleased.
