  • A patient suffering from migraines for more than 10 years finds relief from pain following an occipital nerve release.

I had surgery in December 2017 for the nerves in the back of my head. Occipital nerve release I believe is what Dr. Williams called it [This is correct. - Dr. W.], and it worked VERY well for me. I have been suffering from migraines for over 10 years and this is the first time I have EVER felt permanent relief. I hope to get the same results for the front of my head soon! THANK YOU DOCTOR WILLIAMS AND YOUR WHOLE STAFF AS WELL! I would recommend anyone dealing with daily migraines to give Dr. Williams and his staff a try. I cannot stress that enough for anyone in pain every day and wanting to stop medications. Again, I am looking forward to my next and last surgery. Looking forward to NOT taking medicine anymore, too!

  • Thank you again for changing my life!

Dr. Williams, I can't thank you enough for everything you have done for me! After my soccer injury in college, I never thought I would go back to a headache-free life.  The pain I would endure each day made it very hard to concentrate in school. Once I started dental school the pain only escalated.  When I started work in the pre-clinic my head and neck were strained to the point where the pain was intolerable.  Here is a picture of me a few months post surgery in my second year of dental school working in the pre-clinic, one hundred percent pain-free! Thank you again for changing my life!

  • He is back to work with out pain, without numbness, and without medication.

Patient is 2 months from a decompression of the brachial plexus in the neck. All of the branches of the brachial plexus were compressed or pinched under the scalene anticus muscle -- a small unnecessary muscle in the neck. This muscle was removed in the neck to decompress the nerve. He has had a tremendous response to this operation. We are very pleased. He is back to work with out pain, without numbness, and without medication.

  • She reports that she is 85-90% better and has gone back to her everyday activities

This patient is now 3 months from bilateral decompressions of the greater and lesser occipital nerves, which innervate the back of the head. The patient suffered from an occipital neuralgia that was trauma induced. As a result she experienced migraines on  a daily basis, leaving her in excruciating pain  that radiated from the back of her head to behind her eyes.  After our procedure she reports that she is 85-90% better and has gone back to her everyday activities, being able to focus and accomplish more and more everyday. We are very pleased with her results.

  • After her surgery she had no migraines and took no medication for migraines.

This patient is 1.5 years out from a decompression of the supraorbital nerve. She experienced painful, chronic migraines everyday for 5-6 months prior to surgery. After her surgery she had no migraines and took no medication for migraines. We could not be more pleased with her excellent result.

  • I’m not exaggerating...you have changed my life

I really don’t have headaches like before…you know before I met you I gave up so much activity I was involved in. The biggest disappointment was giving up water sports and basketball because of my neck and shoulder. But after you…I have been involved in dance, kick boxing, yoga, Pilates and well I just finished last class 8:30 tonight. I try to go 1-3 hours every night. THANK YOU…I’m not exaggerating...you have changed my life…hopefully I will just keep getting stronger!

  • Her posterior headaches have been completely resolved.

This patient is 4 months from a decompression of the bilateral greater occipital nerves because of pain that she had after a closed head injury to this area.  These nerves were pinched in the back of her neck.  The compression points were released and she has had an excellent outcome with this operation.  Her posterior headaches have been completely resolved.  We are both very happy!

  • Occipital Neuralgia - Cured for Over 3 Years

This patient had a decompression of her right occipital nerve in the back of the head above her neck at the base of the skull as an outpatient procedure for chronic continuous head ache pain.  The procedure was done over 3 years ago.  Her headaches have remained cured since that time.  The headaches began after a serious motor vehicle accident resulting in a whiplash injury and a blow to the back of the head.

  • He has had a complete relief of his posterior migraines and he has had tremendous improvement in his posterior neck pain.

This patient is 6 months status post decompression of the greater occipital nerve for severe posterior migraine headaches and greater occipital neuralgia.  He has had a complete relief of his posterior migraines and he has had tremendous improvement in his posterior neck pain.

  • Frontal Migraines Cured

This patient had a complete resolution of her daily migraine headaches on the right side of her head.   She was 7 weeks from surgery at the time this video was taken.  She had a decompression of the right supraorbital nerve.  She reports that she was able to stop all of her migraine medications and has not had a single migraine since the operation was performed.  These migraine headaches were felt to be due to a nerve compression of the supraorbital nerve causing her referred pain syndrome into the distribution of the nerve - her forehead.  Decompression of this cured her daily migraines and her chronic headaches that she had for years.
